Youth ACCT - Achieve Community Change Together

Youth ACCT is a youth-led organization determined to make a change in Pottawatomie County. Founded in 2002, as Shawnee Youth Coalition, Youth ACCT has embraced the challenges that come with trying to make a difference and have flourished with projects ranging from a Sports and Arts Camp to Underage Drinking and Drug Use Prevention.

Youth ACCT is open to all middle and high school students in Pottawatomie County. Projects vary and are based on what the coalition decides to do in the community each year.

  • Mental Health Therapist - Shawnee
    We seek a compassionate, skilled therapist to join our team and provide exceptional mental health services! Summary We are seeking a dedicated therapist to deliver high-quality psychotherapy services in a trauma-informed setting. This position offers the flexibility to work full-time, part-time, or on a contract basis, catering to your career preferences. Responsibilities Conduct individual, family, and/or couples psychotherapy sessions utilizing best practices for assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based models. Ability to collaborate and/or refer to and with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic client care when needed. Communicate effectively with referral sources and complete necessary reports as needed. Maintain client confidentiality and ethical standards. Qualifications Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related field. A licensed therapist in Oklahoma (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) or working under qualified supervision towards licensure. Experience providing mental health services is preferred. Strong foundation in evidence-based psychotherapy modalities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We Offer Competitive starting salary: $58,000 annually for under-supervised therapists, $60,000 annually for fully licensed therapists. Flexible work arrangements (full-time, part-time, or contract).   • Therapist/Counselor - Licensed and Under Supervision
    Job Summary We are looking for a talented and experienced therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work with populations navigating substance use and co-occurring disorders in a trauma-informed manner and will be able to provide psychotherapy for individuals, groups, and families while working with an interdisciplinary team. The therapist will also communicate with referral sources, complete various reports, and provide crisis intervention sessions. Responsibilities Provide clinical assessments, treatment plans, and individual, family, and group psychotherapy sessions. Work with an interdisciplinary team to oversee a caseload of patients attending outpatient rehabilitation treatment. Work with an interdisciplinary clinical team to complete various reports for referral sources. Provide crisis intervention sessions, whether in person or over the phone. Administer and observe required drug testing to patients as needed. Work with an interdisciplinary team to provide and maintain needed phone call follow-ups to patients who have missed any scheduled appointments. Attend scheduled agency supervision meetings with the direct supervisor. Professionally represent the agency and its core values in the office and the community, including on social media. Pottawatomie Alliance Toward Community Health (PATCH)

The Pottawatomie Alliance Toward Community Health (PATCH) focuses on improving the health and wellness of all Pottawatomie County residents through community partnerships. These community-driven partnerships consists of individuals, organizations, agencies, associations, and businesses having a singular vision for the future of Pottawatomie County and its citizens.

PATCH also takes on youth prevention efforts including underage drinking and vaping in the schools and communities throughout North Pottawatomie County with a grant funded by Drug Free Communities - Pottawatomie County.

Anyone who is interested in participating in PATCH is welcome, there are no membership dues! Coalition meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month from 12pm - 1pm. Meetings rotate locations each month, so be sure to check out the PATCH Facebook Page for location information.
