Community Reinforcement Approach
At Gateway to Prevention and recovery, we help children and adolescents recover from substance use disorder through the Community Reinforcement Approach. This is an outpatient program for youth and young adults between the ages of 12 and 24 who have substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
The Community Reinforcement Approach uses both behavioral and cognitive-behavioral techniques to replace environmental settings and cues that have supported alcohol or drug use with pro-social activities and new social skills that support recovery.
