Maya Angelou once said, “Ain’t nothin’ to it, but to do it.” This raw statement smacked me in my face three days ago. I had been pretty sluggish after getting back from Nashville and was having a hard time finding my groove. I ran through the checklist of coping skills I could use to get going (both healthy and unhealthy) and knew what I had to do…I had to MOVE MY BODY! No, I did not FEEL like it…remember, I didn’t have any energy…but experience has taught me that if I would just commit to doing SOMETHING…EACH DAY…I could gain momentum and maybe even some MOTIVATION. As you will see from the texting thread below…I always do better when I have a partner in crime. This week, take a moment to really consider what you need to stop putting off and just do already. Any other actions you take are just detours and you won’t feel satisfied. You’ve got this!
