Prague Turning Point Coalition
The Prague Turning Point Coalition was formed in June 2008. Since that time they have dedicated themselves to promoting health and wellness through education and prevention in the lives of those in the Prague area with a primary focus on youth.
Through a community survey, the Coalition identified community concerns such as: underage drinking, prescription drug abuse, bullying prevention, and obesity. The Coalition has used the results of this survey to guide its activities. As a result of the bullying prevention program implemented by the Prague Turning Point Coalition and Prague Public Schools, this effort has been able to expand into additional schools across Lincoln County. During the 2012/2013 school year, over 500 students took part in a multi-lesson bullying prevention curriculum.
Partnership Priorities Include:
- Bullying Prevention
- Physical Activity/Nutrition
- Substance Abuse Prevention
- Positive Youth Development
