Youth ACCT - Achieve Community Change Together

Youth ACCT is a youth-led organization determined to make a change in Pottawatomie County. Founded in 2002, as Shawnee Youth Coalition, Youth ACCT has embraced the challenges that come with trying to make a difference and have flourished with projects ranging from a Sports and Arts Camp to Underage Drinking and Drug Use Prevention.

Youth ACCT is open to all middle and high school students in Pottawatomie County. Projects vary and are based on what the coalition decides to do in the community each year.

"Since our start in 2002, Youth ACCT has been working on making a positive impact in the community. Our hope is to empower other youth in middle and high school to join and help make change happen one project at a time.

Is there a membership requirement?

Nope! All events and meetings are open to any youth in Pott County. You also do not have to attend everything to participate.

Who decides the Youth ACCT events and volunteer projects?

Youth ACCT has monthly meetings where they discuss upcoming events, plan volunteer opportunities, and decide on new ways to make a positive impact on the community. Meeting updates can be found on their Facebook or Instagram pages. Meetings also include fun games and food!

Are there leadership roles within Youth ACCT?

Yes! We have up to five leadership roles available for 10th-12th grade students at the beginning of every school year.

Can I receive National Honor Society points for volunteering at Youth ACCT events?

Yes! We can sign NHS slips if you have volunteered for an event.
